IndianaINTERN Reaches Milestone of 10,000 Placements

A news release issued last week reports 2019 marked a milestone for IndianaINTERN, a free internship-matching program that links employers, students, high schools, colleges and universities. Late last year, the program reached 10,000 completed internships, not including post-internship relationships that may have led to students and post-graduates enjoying even more experiences and connections.

In Noble County, Ryan Twiss, director of regional initiatives for the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and a member of IndianaINTERN's board of directors, reported to attendees of the Noble County Economic Development Corporation's annual meeting that 41 Central Noble High School students were placed at 27 local companies in a pilot program. IndianaINTERN has primarily focused on placing college students in internships, but based on the success of the pilot program with Central Noble and a few other northeast Indiana high schools, officials expect the online platform is likely to place more emphasis on helping place more high school students.

Twiss welcomes regional employers and schools interested in learning more about internships, an important component of talent development and retention initiatives, to find more information at or to call him at (260) 469-3464.
