LAGRANGE — Parkview LaGrange Hospital and Parkview Noble Hospital have been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2018 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.

This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide.

“Our co-workers are our greatest asset and we strive to provide a workplace where they are not only satisfied but engaged in the work they’re doing for our community,” said Jordi Disler, president, Parkview LaGrange Hospital. “When our employees are engaged and demonstrating the highest level of world-class teamwork, we can in turn provide the highest level of care. We’re honored to be named among the nation’s best in healthcare.”

Parkview Noble Hospital President Gary Adkins had similar words of praise for his team at the Kendallville hospital.

“This recognition clearly demonstrates our co-workers’ dedication to our organization and illustrates that our hospital is truly one of the best,” he said. “I couldn’t be prouder of the members of our team that come to work every day and keep the patients at the forefront of everything they do. We provide world class teamwork as we partner with the members of our community on their healthcare journey in a way that is compassionate, convenient and excellent.”

Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey. Modern Healthcare will publish a special supplement featuring ranked lists of all the winners along with the Oct. 1 issue.

“Whether on the frontline or in the top office, healthcare employees witness moments that can either inspire or dishearten them. That can take a toll on an individual and healthcare organizations must take extra steps to ensure that highs and lows during the workday don’t impact engagement or performance,” said Modern Healthcare Editor Aurora Aguilar. “This year’s best places to work, voted on by the employees themselves, exemplify what it takes to maintain dedication and satisfaction among its employees and that is the key to good patient care. Congratulations to this year’s winners and we look forward to celebrating with you in September.”
