Tipton Leads New Community Center


Kendallville, IN - “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” Those words, attributed to Margaret Mead, might sum up the motivations of those behind the launch of a new community learning center (CLC) in Noble County.

East Noble Named a Unified Champion School

Kendallville - East Noble High School has learned they will be recognized as a National Banner Unified Champions School.

According to the Special Olympics website, the goal of the Unified Champions program is to promote "social inclusion through intentionally planned and implemented activities affecting systems-wide change."

Though sports is the foundation of the program, the model also focuses on creating classrooms and climates of acceptance in a school for students with disabilities.

Albion, Ind.—Chain O’ Lakes Correctional Facility and Warden Charles Bowen are pleased to announce the graduation of 20 residents from a nationally recognized welding program.

Kendallville Airport Breaks Ground for New Hangar

KENDALLVILLE - An expansion that will allow more commercial flights to come into the Kendallville Municipal Airport, as well as increase winter traffic, will soon culminate in improved services for local businesses. The airport held a groundbreaking ceremony on August 8, marking the beginning of construction on a project that began with conversations back in 2016. Several officials were in attendance, including Indiana State Representative David Abbott, a pilot who was once a member of the Kendallville Soarin' Club.

NE Indiana Enhances National Business Development Efforts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership received a matching grant from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) to increase domestic business development trips and site selector visits to the 11-county region consisting of Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley Counties.
